Judges Select Lions Clubs Global Youth Music Competition Winners in Seattle
July 7, 2011
Wednesday night in Seattle, Lions Clubs International convention attendees enjoyed the Global Youth Music Competition. We congratulate the young people who participated for their extraordinary work – and their impressive performances during a concert last night.

A panel of jurors selected the winners based on their performance of three musical pieces on the guitar. Congratulations to our first, second and third place winners.
- First Place: Daniel Nistico, Australia (representing Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and the Islands of the South Pacific Ocean)
- Second Place: Lazhar Cherouana, France (representing Europe)
- Third Place: Aldo Bontá, Chile (representing South America, Central America, Mexico and the Islands of the Caribbean)

Congratulations Daniel – we knew you would come through. And thank you PP Wirfs for opening this opportunity to young talented musicians.
I’m very happy for these young winners, classic guitar players! I hope that clarinet or piano will be the next chosen instrument, because we have had young winners (from 16 to 22 years old) in our Lions Club Agrigento Chiaramonte National “1° IncontrArti MUSIC AWARD,” May 27-28-29th 2011, in Realmonte (Agrigento, Sicily, Italy): a clarinetist, first place, an two pianists, second and third places. So we hope to send at least one of them to next Global Youth Competition, if their musical instruments are chosen. We’ll read L.C. International website to be advised about this fantastic Lions Competition. We wait and our true talents hope! Thank you! Grazie!)
